  • Black Rocket - Beats and Jams: Digital Music Creators (Incoming 6-8 grade)

    Begin your rise to the top of the charts with digital music production! Just like today's top artists, you can design your own beats or remix a mashup of your favorite songs to become a digital composer and sound engineer. In this course, students will learn to produce digital music, record sound, make sound effects, and mix their own tracks. No prior music experience is necessary. Student-created soundtracks will be available on a password-protected website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

  • Stage Works - Once Upon a Time

    Sing and dance your way through musicals that feature beloved fairy tales. From Shrek’s swamp in Shrek, to the yellow brick road in The Wizard of Oz, to Neverland in Peter Pan, discover the magic of musical theatre through familiar stories! Children will work with a director, choreographer, music director, and/or production assistant throughout the week on songs and scenes from the movies. All of the kids’ hard work will culminate in a showcase at the end of the week, held on Friday, August 16 at 5:30PM in the MJS Auditorium. Additional details regarding the showcase will be sent out closer to the start of the program. Participants will need to provide a base outfit (as determined by StageWorks directors). This may be something like - wearing all green or wear a nice outfit. All other props and accessories will be provided by StageWorks. *Exact song and scene selections can be agreed upon with camp coordinator and production team*
